Challenge
Hip2B² approached Bright Sparks in 2004 to develop a competition "along the lines of Finders Keepers in The Sunday Times". The objective was to promote interest in Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Mathematics (STEM). Our challenge was to create a concept that would go beyond a mere promotional competition.

Solution
With the target audience consisting of young learners between primary and high school, we decided to develop a fictional story in a virtual world populated by inspiring characters hunting down "terrorists, criminals and gangsters". The story involved chases, a kidnapping and encrypted messages that needed decoding. Prizes included Sahara computers, Swatch watches, Hip2B² MP3 players, cameras and backpacks. The competition was a roaring success, and a
follow-up campaign was launched in 2006.
