Break Out!, like Sort Out!, continues the in-depth look at business studies. Learners meet more fictional entrepreneurs who own businesses involved in activities such as surfboard and balloon manufacture, selling T-shirts and cell phones, as well as importing MP3 players and watches. Each work card challenges learners to engage in entrepreneurial activity based on one of 12 themes: animals, art, food, home, innovation, music, outdoors, entertainment, services, sport, tourism and writing.
Learners embark on a series of venture projects, each one taking three weeks to complete. Once each business venture is completed, learners “unpack” their experiences with the use of Team Talk cards. Again, learners write out reports detailing their experiences in running their micro ventures.
